Yummmm I love quiche and always make it for brunch when I have the boys home...well, Corey loves it too but not Shawn..he tends to believe the "real men don't eat quiche" motto! lol

Well, Quiche was originated in the German kingdom of Lothringen which, once it was occupied by the French in the middle ages, became "Lorraine" and thus we have Quiche Lorraine. So, Queen Marie must have heard of it, but was it 'common' food or a dainty dish to set before a King? Perhaps if she had said, "Let them Eat Quiche, not Cake," she would have lived to tell the tale...and thus we see how food is intertwined with all the mysteries of histories!
