If ya want it, ya haf ta sew it!

Tired of looking for useable dining napkins that were affordable and of a recognizable fabric like cotton or linen as opposed to ultra-suede and micro-fiber which seems to be the trend right now, I opted to simply make my own yesterday.

Who wants to wipe their delicate lips on pleather, I ask you?

Very pretty napkins. I would almost hate to wipe my mouth on them for fear of ruining one....but I like the idea better than pleather!

It is okay to 'ruin' them, because they are for every day use! I try not to have things that are 'too good to use'. When they get too full of lipstick stains I just make new ones! I enjoy it and I don't have to constantly be spending money on paper napkins.

What beautiful napkins you made!! My mom used to make some all the time and I still have the red ones she had made for me to use at Christmas time:-)

Yes, we learned to make them in Home-Ec (gee, they don't have Home-Ec anymore do they? Now they make the girls learn Competitive Sports!) and we were taught the benefits of a cloth napkin over the tacky picnic napkins made of paper. And I don't mind washing them, what's the beef? They go into the washing machine with the dish towels, no problem! The older they get the softer they get and I enjoy having pretty fabric around me no matter what! I urge people to USE their linens, what are they saving them for?
